Our mission is to educate students to become resourceful learners and contributing citizens.

The Northeast Community School District is comprised of five small communities and encompasses an area covering 178 square miles. The communities include Charlotte, Goose Lake, Andover, Bryant, and Elvira. The School District has one attendance center in which the Elementary and high School are on one campus in Goose Lake, Iowa. The District borders Clinton, Iowa on the north and west and includes a rural population of about 3,000 people. Clinton is an industrial community of over 20,000.

The School District has a total enrollment of about 800 students, including open enrollments. The vast majority of students come from blue collar families and from farm backgrounds. The district has about 30% of its students on free and reduced lunch program. The District is considered stable with a small decline in enrollment over the past seven years.

Student achievement scores are not only among the highest in Clinton County, but rank high in the Mississippi Area Education Agency (AEA 9). The mission of the Northeast Community School District is to prepare students to become productive and responsible members of a global society by providing a quality educational program in a supportive environment.

Geographically, the Northeast Community School district borders the Mississippi river and is approximately 45 miles north of the Quad Cities (Rock Island, Moline, Illinois, Bettendorf and Davenport, Iowa). The University of Iowa at Iowa City is located 90 miles to the west.
